The internal power supply in the Digital Cluster is a common source of problem with the Digital Cluster. Electrolytic capacitors dry out then short, the switching transistor leads break internally, and failed alternators and 24V jump starts can cause overvoltage which destroys the Varistor. This kit provides the parts commonly needed to refurbish your power supply.

 

Signs your Power Supply may be defective

  • When the ignition is on, the cluster remains dark and the info can't be seen

  • Segments randomly flash on the dark LCD panels

  • The LCD or CLSTR fuses blow repeatedly

  • Physical damage to the components of the power supply

 

Should You Rebuild or Replace?

If you are experienced with electronic troubleshooting and know what the problem is, then the power supply parts kit is the cheaper way to go. But please don't assume that by replacing all the parts included with the kit that your power supply issues will automatically function properly. Cold solder joints, shorted transformers and broken traces are all possible in the 25+ year old power supply.

If the power supply doesn't fix your issues, we will credit the full amount of the kit purchase toward the price of a new power supply.
