Bench Test Power Cable


This bench test power cable is a great way to power up the cluster while it's outside of the car. It's a great way to determine if the problem is with the cluster or with the car wiring, and to test the repairs you've made to the cluster.

 

The cable provides 12V power and ground to the cluster. It allows for testing of the basic functions of the cluster (backlighting, dimmer, power supply, LCD segments, turn signals, high beam indicator, voltmeter, oil pressure, oil temp, coolant temp, fuel level, etc). If you need to test the speedometer, odometer or tachometer functions, a signal generator or 555 oscillator is also required.

Note:  As of 9/2020, the cigarette lighter plug pictured is no longer available.  We have removed it from the kit and adjusted the price accordingly.
